Location: Galvin Recital Hall, Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center for the Musical Arts (Map it)
“De la Salle played so well that, for much of the concert, the audience had to remember to breathe…the exhilaration didn’t let up for a second until her hands came off the keyboard and everyone could finally come up for air.” – Washington Post
A native of France, Lise de la Salle first came to international attention in 2005, at the age of 16, with a Bach/Liszt recording that was selected as “Recording of the Month” by Gramophone magazine. De la Salle has performed with many of the world’s leading ensembles including the London, Vienna, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco symphony orchestras. Her 2016-17 season has included recitals and chamber music at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, and appearances in Paris, Germany, and the United States, when she performed with James Conlon and the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC.
